Wind turbine blade accessories
Our customer is a leader manufacturing supplier in the wind power industry, they were developing a new project aim to reduce the wind noise and improve the performance of the power generation. After designed with the computer simulation software, the engineer designed various serrations along the 70 meters blade. Our customer told us, the variation of the serration curves is very slight, as small as 0.1mm deviation will affect the performance, what is more, the working environment may be extremely hot and cold. Our customer come to us with this big challenge.
Considering all the conditions, we suggested the vacuum casting process to our customer, using the polyurethane material. After comparing the date sheets of all the material, our customer choose the material MU55, a kind polyurethane from Pelnox, a Japanese brand. Nevertheless, they decided to test the material properties in there own lab before batch production. They told us that they also want to sure that our production process match the requirements through the test. After all, a small bubble and size deviation will reduce the strength and cause the failure of the test. Fortunately, the test parts passed the test, and we can go to the small batch production.
Test the material properties before batch production
Small batch parts be made with silicon mold process
We delivered all the parts on time, and the parts were successfully assembled. After two month system testing, our client told us the project was very successful, and this job indicated the high consistency between our production and their design purpose. We are proud that we could help our customer to promote renewable energy development ,we hope that we could see more blue sky with more clean energy.
